In September 2025, Withings hosted the Google Health & Fitness team for a full-day workshop at our Paris headquarters. The goal: identify a compelling new feature for the Withings app, powered by Google's Health Connect platform, worth showcasing at the Google Health & Fitness Partner Executive Summit.
The day moved from strategy to execution — reviewing our current Health Connect integration, brainstorming new use cases, then splitting into an engineering deep-dive and a design prioritization track before regrouping to shape the story for the summit.
Withings already reads from Health Connect, but there was clear room to grow. The workshop focused on deepening that integration — writing higher-quality data back to Health Connect, and reading new data types, like continuous glucose data, to fill gaps in the Withings health picture.
To ground the conversation, we walked Google through Withings Intelligence — our AI layer that simplifies raw sensor data into a single Health Score, flags a daily Vitality reading before symptoms appear, and turns an inconclusive ECG into a cardiologist-reviewed Cardio Check-Up.
with Health Connect categories, so users see themselves against the same taxonomy the rest of their apps use.
with Health Connect History, pulling in up to 30 days of past data the moment a user connects.
with Matchmaking, Google's new UI for surfacing the right companion app at the right moment.
back to Health Connect, so the care team on the other end gets the full picture, not a summary.
The concepts and integration roadmap from this session became the backbone of Withings' presentation at the Google Health & Fitness Partner Executive Summit in October 2025, delivered by François Force, Withings' GM USA.
I joined the workshop as Withings' design representative, working alongside Product, Partnerships, and Engineering leadership through the full day — from reviewing our current Health Connect integration to the brainstorming and prioritization sessions that shaped the final showcase concepts. I also sat in on reviewing the summit content with François Force ahead of his presentation to Google.
